Version 1.6 - includes the updates in unofficial 1.5 release and corrects errors in data for PIREP upload.
It should be safe to use the "Resume Flight" option again.
Thanks for your patience.
John
Installation:
Copy all the files over your current SPAACARS files and choose "Copy and Replace". Successful install will show V 1.6 in About menu and manual.
Changes:
V 1.5
• Update to “Resume Flight” button. Button is disabled while SPAACARS detects FSUIPC disconnect. Button turns red and is enabled when FSUIPC is reconnected.
• Handles error when file name saved in “ini file” setting is no longer found. User will now be advised of this and prompted to select an ini file.
V 1.6
• Fixes errors regarding upload of PIREP related to incorrect data after “Resume Flight” option.
It should be safe to use the "Resume Flight" option again.

Ok John, will update to Version 1.6. Just completed all 26 legs of the Mississippi River Tour, and sent all my pireps with your spaacars, didn`t not have a problem with "my computer". I can positively say your program worked 100% in IFR or VFR mode. I even purposely didn`t apply the brakes at the gate, still work ok. Anybody that has a problem with your program, may have a program on their own computer conflicting with yours. My next test will be to drive my Firetruck in the desert from point A to B, then send it in with the acars.

Great news guys - thanks...Now maybe I can even fly a little.
Steve - I did give some thought to the lat-lon issue with the "Resume Flight" option. I don't think I reinitialized some memory after a resume that might have caused that.
I've only been able to test it this far by shutting down FSX and not "crashing" the program. It's very likely that the latter can really disrupt things a bit more.
I'll make some changes for yet one more release of the version 1.X that hopefully will prevent that - unless you like clicking your heels three times and ending up in Africa.

Steve,
At this point I've not been able to replicate that issue. I've tried shutting down FSX and also tried killing the application in Task Mgr. Each time SPAACARS recognizes the reconnect when FSX is restarted and the Resume function works as designed.
I'll check a bit further for other possible causes of not recognizing reconnects.

I've made a change in the code to correct a situation that might have prevented spaacars from recognizing a reconnect (and subsequently activating the resume button). Although I've not been able to replicate the problem, this change should eliminate a possible scenario where this might occur. The latest zip version 1.6.3 is available for testing (usual download and install of the same zip file).
Please advise if you still get a failure to recognize FSX reconnects (where the 'resume' button remains greyed out). Also let me know if it behaves correctly so I know for sure that this was in fact the cause.
Thanks,
