The following are suggested FS9 settings for those of you new to the program. These settings are based on discussions from several forums
and also what my machine can handle and still get decent frame rates with little or no stutters. These are not set in stone. Some settings will vary according to the capabilities of your machine, as we all know not all machines are created equal.

These suggested settings are a starting point to help you get the most
realistic flightsim experience, and some of these settings may increase the fluidity of the program for you. (stutters and frame rates). You will need to
experiment with some of the display settings, but I suggest you try what
I have pictured for you first.

My machine:
2.8 mhz Pentium 4
1. Gig ram
Windows XP home
Screen resolution 1024 X 768 on 17 inch monitor.
Video card:
Nvidia Geforce 4 MX440 64 mg. Note: (Very low end these days)

I hope so too. I thinks it's a good starting point for newwer simmers
Just a reminder to folks not to get caught up in a tweaking craze, chasing
that extra frame rate. Tweak a little, fly a lot. Good advice if I do say so myself..
Enjoy the hobby

Heck yea, I'll throw a couple up over the weekend. I love the new home, and the new vid card...lol, only prob I'm having now is every once in awhile (only in FS) my mouse curser locks up.....using a wireless of course. I may have to try and find my old mouse to see if it has somehting to do with a port conflict or something.
