You may have seen this story in the news. The pilot of a C-208 with two passengers aboard lost consciousness approaching the coast on a flight from Marsh Harbor in the Bahamas to Ft. Pierce in Florida. One of the passengers, who was apparently sitting in the right seat, managed to make radio contact with the Fort Pierce tower. Although the G1000 panel was dark and the passenger did not know how to change radio frequency, they managed improvise a radio to get him in contact with an ATC controller in Palm Beach Tracon on the Ft. Pierce Tower frequency (128.2). The controller (Robert Morgan, "Captain Morgan", but not the rum) who is a CFI (certified flight instructor) managed to talk him down to a near-textbook landing on Rwy.10 at Palm Beach International. Here are two links about this story. The first is Juan Browne's initial report on the story on his Blancolirio channel on You Tube. The second is Juan's detailed conversation with Robert Morgan, the controller who pulled this off, on his Juan's Patreon channel, to which I subscribe. Wow!
