What a great Tour. Completed many a Round the World type tours over the years, but this one is different and offers destinations that most of us have never experienced.

Tried something different this time and decided to use as many A/C in the Hanger as possible just for the fun of it.Most were my GA planes but did manage to sneak in a few Corporate, Military and Commuter type planes. Had to check a manual or two to refresh my memory on some FMCs, AutoPilots and Checklists just to get some of them fired up and ready to fly.

Here's the numbers:

32 cities
Approximately 10,800NM
31 different A/C
15 days to complete and 64 hours of PIC time.

I may have to re-fly a tour I've already completed, but I'm considering a complete tour flown with helicopters as my next challenge.Just have to find one with short hops because since most choppers don't have A/Ps long stretch hand flown legs get real old real quick.

Congrats Smitty!

I've been thinking of some helicopter flights, although it's not as popular an aircraft as planes are for our pilots. Eventually I'll get to it though, and hopefully will even see a helo available in MSFS.

TX John,

Looking at Hawaii for a heli excursion. There's tons of heli pads around the islands and great scenery. Probably use Commuter type planes for inter island skipping but helicopters for touring.

Got a pretty well stocked hanger, but a few of them are a bugger to fly.

When. if or ever MS/Asobo gets their act together, I'm looking forward to the low altitude depiction of Mother Earth that is offered. Don't really care much about the high altitude stuff, the world looks pretty much the same from FL390!

The MilViz UH-1C / UH-1H "Redux" is probably going to be my next heli purchase. Gonna hold off though and see if there's a Thanksgiving sale! :top:

Yeah Smitty, Hawaii sightseeing charter would be a great helo tour, also some shuttle runs to the many offshore oil rigs.
