Hi pilots,

after having crashed my Twin Otter some days ago at Unalaska airport (PADU) due to flooding of the runway, I couldn't leave my passengers alone. Therefore I grabbed a passenger version of Sikorsky S76c++ to collect them and fly to Nikolski As (IKO or PAKO):

Deep cloud layer, no way to get over them safely

Flying low and bumpy underneath the cloud layer alongside Umnak Island

I finally reached my destination, only to find the end of the runway flooded and an aircraft wreck at the side.

Good that I used the heli for me and my 15 pax! Despite high fuel consumption, it even gave me good value ... and it was real fun. I shall certainly finish the Alaska Marine tour with the Sikorsky S76c Helicopter.

Hope you like the images!

Nice Oswald. I love illustrated flight stories. I flew that Alaska Marine Tour a few months ago in the DHC6 and had a heck of a time with the winter weather in the Aleutians, particularly with the crosswinds.
