Hi Guys... finally managed to finish the Marco Polo round trip, only to discover that its not in the adventures or bush ops any more. What I was wondering is, if there are any bells and whistles when its completed, or just the warm feeling of having accomplished it?

Hey Paul,

Unfortunately, the Marco Polo flight was from Yoland's collection, and when he left he pulled all of his material off the site - along with some of my own contributions in direct violation of our copyright rules here at SPA. While I could put them back on the site through backups, I chose to move forward with a new SOP/Bush manager who would not attempt to run our airline as an autocracy through threats of removing their creative material from the site.

This was unfortunate for those of you who were in the middle of long flight groups based on that material, and I would have much preferred a more amicable separation with Yoland, but he deleted all materials from our site without permission and without any concern for the many pilots who enjoyed his contributions in an effort to cause as much pain as possible for us. Clearly there is no direct correlation between the level of one's creativity and their character.

We have created - and will continue to create, new and exciting flight groups for pilots who enjoy Bush and SOP flights, as well as routes and other activities where we see an area of interest among our pilots. That may include, in whole or in part, some of the topics from Yoland's collection, while not his exact flight plans or pages (after all, the world is only so big).

Unlike the previous Bush/SOP offerings where Yoland refused to use our Awards Page or our schedule database for his offerings, and then rarely maintained his award offerings or responded to pilot's requests or questions related to those things, our New Bush/SOP is actively maintained and uses our scheduling database and Awards Page. Additionally, we identify flight groups that include Award/Completion icons by flashing titles on the page. Currently we have two of those (MN Sightseeing Tour and Amelia Earhart World Tour).

Larry has many more flights planned, and even completed. My ability to find the time to get them posted to the website is the only thing that slows down that process and prevents getting those wonderful flying adventures out and available to our pilots. Sorry about that!
