l agree with Mike. l too am using FSX as my main flight simulator, but did purchase P3dv4. But since my FSX is working perfectly, there`s just no reason for me to use P3d other than for my flight plans. l also have a lot of payware aircraft, and Orbx sceneries.

What l`1m hopping with the coming of the new Microsoft 2020 is that, there will be a trial period so you can check it out whether it will be worth the monthly or yearly subscription, when it comes out sometime this year.

l` m sure whoever is the first to pay for the subscription, will post his opinion on the new Microsoft fltsim 2020, will all give us an idea whether it be worth the subscription or not.

I agree with Mike too... I switched recently from FSX Boxed to the Steam Version and since then I have had no system crashes. Also have Active Sky and Orbx for the areas I fly in. I finally have a stable system and am very happy with that. Even with everything switched up to the highest, I still get a good 25 frames, but only because I've limited it to that. The real pain for me with the streaming format will probably be my internet connection. I have a slow connection because we live on a farm outside of town and there's no chance of it being upped in the near future. So streaming with slow internet would kill it for me...

I have P3D v4.5 and find it is as good as I have seen so far. My computer might be suffering from inadequate memory and CPU issues, but it is getting a bit dated now.

I think that Microsoft might be pushing their X-Box consoles for their new flight simulator. Their console costs about $500. That does not include any games or other software that you might want to add later. It also requires a very fast internet connection.

My thinking is that they are showing such realistic graphics because their software uses Artificial Intelligence algorithms to render the graphics. They might be working with nVidia on that.
