Hey pilots,
Again I'm sitting here at the Miami Pilot's Pub enjoying several Chardonnays - I've already lost count, but I've cut myself off from anymore because I have a big flight tomorrow. Yep, I leave the US for a long time on the remainder of the Earhart Round-the-world flight legs and won't be returning until I'm almost done with this entire flight plan. No worries though, I've brought my laptop with me to post about my adventures of this ongoing journey. Wouldn't Amelia have been impressed had I showed up with my laptop for her flight - how much differently things might have turned out for her. My apologies to Larry and the rest of the SPA pilots for not doing more on the backlog of Bush/SOP flights waiting to be processed, but I've been having too much fun with this Earhart adventure and getting comfortable with the Lockheed Electra 10A. I will continue to post of my exploits as I work my way through this fun flight plan.
I did note that my Electra had some issues with white patches over my Nav1 radio, and I upgraded my p3d from 4 to 4.5, hoping to correct that issue. It did, but it caused a host of other issues (isn't that always the way of it). This took me an entire day of reinstalling some addons - including my RTMM stuff and most of my other addons. Fortunately, all my FTX/Orbx Global/Vector and regional stuff reinstalled quickly without redownloading. Anyway, I updated p3d by installing the client, content and scenery as separate updates and I think still saved much time and issues having to start from scratch with a complete reinstall.
So...I'm back up and running (flying) as you can see by my flight today to KMIA.
Happy flying,
John
