I am having fun with Prepar3D by Lockheed. I installed version three (v3.5) of P3D.
So far I have added REX Global Base scenery, activeSkyNEXT, and a Carenado Cessna Citation with Navigraph. All did not go smoothly, of course. I was getting errors when opening P3D at first until I did some internet searching and discovered a fix. Apparently, I needed to run the simconnect.msi installer. This was needed for the ActiveSkyNEXT application so that it would talk to P3D. So, now everything is working well together.
Now, I just need to figure out how all of the Cessna Citation systems work.
By the way, I tried a cross country flight in the P3D Beechcraft Bonanza yesterday and flew into a thunderstorm. I should have paid attention to the radar. That was not a good experience because activeSkyNEXT simulates the strong up and downdrafts. It was like riding a bucking horse in a rodeo. Good thing the wings did not fall off.
