SPA Express Aircraft

Now that we have a marvellous Bush Ops hub here at SPA, I'm not sure how many of you find the time to get out and fly our SPA Express aircraft. Can you please provide me with feedback here on this as the fleet is getting very aged and requires replacement. I would like to program this to happen over the next 12 months as I upgrade the PAX fleet and add new aircraft for Yoland and the Bush Ops hub.

There is a new Shorts SD3-60F aircraft available from Premier Aircraft that would make an excellent replacement for the current ATR72-200F for both FS9 and FSX, and a PAX version that might interest Yoland. I will work on the cargo version shortly after I have supplied Yoland with his next aircraft.

I see one photo of the new ATR72-500 at the forum. If you haven't tried it out go for it and let us know how you like it!! I have added panels and sounds but they may not be exactly to your liking. Feel free to change these if you wish. If you have a favourite panel, post pics here and let us all know where to get it from.

The new ATR is very nice indeed, I am planning a little video using it will be done shortly. I was wondering about the ERJ-145 that we have for FSX. DO we have one for FS9? I know that project opensky built a nice VC for it but I can never get the thing to work. Is there a way you could package one together that will have our SPA paint and the VC in it for FS9? Thanks for taking the time to upgrade the fleet I do love flying these different birds when they come out!

I was only thinking about this the other day,as i was flying the Shorts,that it would make a good cargo aircraft.
By all means upgrade the Express fleet.

I dont know about nameing these the same as the old type, i think a new name for the cargo aircraft would be good.

If anybody comes up with a name or aircraft that they would like then let us know here.

The new ATR does look great Paul, i tried it out the other day! As for the express fleet, if your going to spend time on updating it, should there be new cargo flights for people to fly?

Steve as for the ERJ-145, the FSX version that paul did does work in FS9. I cant remember now exactly how it comes but if its an self-installer then just change the location from FSX to a new folder on the desktop or somethin, then take the files needed and put them into your aircraft folder in FS9. That should do the trick.

i remember trying for ages to get the virtual cockpit to work the only way i managed it in the end was to use the default Learjet panel instead of the freeware panel that they suggest in the readme! even thought they give a Panel.cfg file for it, it still never worked properly for me.

I can put together some flight plans for the cargo fleet once we have updated.

If anybody has some flight plans that they would like to fly then i can put them in.

Thanks for the ideas everyone, keep them coming in. I have just obtained a couple of DVD's from Just PLanes, and there are some routes there that would be ideal, eg ANC-OME-UNK-ANC, ANC-DLG-ANC to name a couple. These are 2 routes flown by Everts Air Cargo in their DC6's.

Steve, I'm looking into the ERJ145 and VC at the moment. I'll try to get the VC working for both FS9 and FSX. I go out of town next week for 10 days, so I'll get back to you here when I can.
