Thanks guys, if I understand what skywagon said, SPAACARS cannot import the flight plan from Xplane (I haven't coded it...yet). Therefore, you must manually add the necessary flight plan data from your Xplane Flight Plan into the main page on SPAACARS. When the required fields have data in them, the "Start" button on SPAACARS will become "active" and you and press it to start logging your flight.

I am in process of installing Avast Premium on my flight sim computer. I am also a ham radio op and I have to wade through Norton to get apps allowed to run. I will let you know about SPA 10.8.

Yes you must load all the data manually, but thank goodness I have it working now. Yes I switched from Norton to Avast internet protection. I have Avast on a couple more computers. I tried to exclude Spas 10.8 but was unable to make it work. Thanks for all the info from all. I will stick to X-Plane until FS2020 is usable, the ILS does not work right and a few more things.

In X-Plane the flight plan is a .FMS format and it is only loaded via the GPS.

Hey Ron, yes...someone once sent me a Xplane plan to use for making it readable by SPAACARS, but I never had time to revisit that. It's still on my list, but keeps getting pushed way back. Fortunately the new FS2020 plan is compatible with the old FSX plans and loads into SPAACARS without doing further modification. Just changing the code to handle the fix for the Plane Description required changing about 8 lines of code in several different areas.

Creating an interpreter for Xplane flight plans (and a way to identify the Xplane sim...or adding a click-box for the option) would require lots more work....but I'll keep it on the back burner for when I can find the time.

Right now I'm being a bit selfish and enjoying the new FS2020 by doing some flying myself while trying fix remaining issues and restoring things to the new site.

I'm glad you managed to get it working to the extent possible, because it's much easier than manually entering the entire pirep manually.

Happy flying,

John
