Back My Computer did'nt like me was created by JimMagin
I wanted to fly North but My Computer went South and wouldn't let me play anymore :-x Had to format both drive and re-install everything this time got smart virus check everything as I installed it. Know I only go to 5 sites witch I know are safe

Yes, I know it's tight from some budgets, but I strongly recommend having a separate computer for general Internet browsing that is not their simulator computer. I've gone so far as to not visiting any websites on my gaming system except necessary downloads from ActiveSky, Orbx, navigraph, and of course St. Paul Airlines.
I even download new aircraft from my 'web surfing' computer and then transfer them to my gaming system after virus scanning if I'm not certain about the source.
Furthermore, I've put in a number of anti-virus measures after my 'surfing computer' became infected with the cryptowall ransomware virus.
These measures include:
CryptoPrevent
SuperAntiSpyware
Malwarebytes Anti-malware
Webroot Secure Anywhere
I also use Carbonite backup (which allowed me to restore many of the encrypted files from the Cryptowall attack, although I caught the attack part way through the encryption and stopped it).
And finally, I use Macrium Reflect and a Seagate 2TB USB drive to make my own drive images so that I can restore my computer to a previous state by restoring the drive (operating system, programs, files).
I don't do the imaging backup as often as I should, so it's nice to have Carbonite automatically doing some file backups.
This is a bit of overkill for most users, but I have a lot going on here with my own game system plus the SPA FSXHost and TeamSpeak servers and a local server running a test version of the SPA website - and all the SPA site backup files. It was the time that Cryptowall spent 'spinning its wheels' encrypting my test system that allowed me to catch it before it got to my documents, pics, etc.
These various spyware and anti-virus seem to play nice with each other, and don't seem to cause problems with my game system performance - although I have a pretty powerful system, and I don't think I have CryptoPrevent on the game system.
Oh...and that cryptowall infection came during a search for another ACARS option for SPA (before I decided to create SPAACARS). I've also had several attempted attacks during aircraft searches, so pilots should use care and stick to reputable sites to prevent virus and Trojan attacks.
