Server Issues

Pilots,

I noticed some issues this morning with our server and contacted our provider about them. The CSS styling was altered upon logon, was the first sign of problems (larger text and blue font). When I tried altering files I could no longer upload files to the site. This may have also been related to Smitty's problem a few days ago.

Anyway, I checked again about a half hour after sending help request and the server is behaving normally again. I will monitor this the next few days to ensure things are stable again, and if I learn more from our provider about the issue I'll pass that on to you.

For now, things seem to be working correctly so...

Sadly, the server issues have returned. There's intermittent connect issues again and I've again advised our Internet Provider. For those filing PIREPs with ACARS programs, I would suggest turning off Econ Mode in the ACARs settings menu. This will allow you to resend your pirep with subsequent presses of the "send log" button until a successful sending to the site occurs.

I will advise when I hear back from the provider.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but it's really out of our hands and up to the provider - short of switching providers.

I've made contact with support and they're currently looking into the problem and will report back. I'll share any information if/when it becomes available. I successfully filed an ACARS pirep as well - which is a good thing because I forgot to turn off econ mode and would not have been allowed to resend if it failed.

Anyway, it seems to be working ok for now.
