Pilots,
I've posted the latest SPAACARS version in the download area for pilots to use now.
I've done extensive testing of this latest version with two other pilots in an effort to get as many bugs worked out before troubling the majority of pilots with yet another download that doesn't work correctly.
I believe that this latest version should work correctly for most, if not all FSX/P3d pilots, and I encourage the download and use of this program over earlier versions that are prone to errors when certain conditions occur.
Additionally, this program makes some changes that improve the Active Flight mapping.
Version 9.5 Changes:
1. Corrects false alert messages regarding fuel, payload and time settings - and adds an audible error warning message if significant changes to time/payload/fuel are made after flight logging has started.
2. Uses different Altitude readout for position reports on Active Flights map that otherwise may have displayed erroneous information.
3. Incorporates Flight Plan Lat/Lon data for orig and dest airports into position reports for Active Flights map. This, along with changes to server-side code and database changes, makes SPAACARS flight plan data the primary source for flight route display on the Google Active Flights Map linked to our main page (upper right corner). If flight plan data is not available, as when the pilot manually enters required fields into SPAACARS rather than using the FS Flight Plan button, then the secondary data source, the local airports database will be checked for the necessary flight route data. As has previously been the case, if this also fails to provide flight route data, the flight route will not display on the Active Flights map. Prior to version 9.5, the local airports database was the sole source of data for flight routes. Now, using flight plan data from SPAACARS, even airports not listed in that database will display on the Active Flights map - even a flight to Misty Moorings, Misty's Place from PAKT will show up (even though the Misty's airstrip isn't visible on the map of course).
For those who don't know about the "Active Flights" map, the link is on the upper right side of our SPA main website page (the image of planet earth). Note that this link is only active when a flight in active, otherwise you can't click on it. You'll know when a flight is active because there is flight information where it otherwise says "None flying", and there will be a little yellow Piper circling the globe. Then you can click on the map to see the flights, routes, current location of the plane's last position update, etc.
Thanks for your patience and Merry Christmas to all St. Paul Airlines Pilots,<img src="tinymce/plugins/emoticons/img/smiley-nikolaus.gif" alt="nikolaus">

Thanks Joe...yes I tried to model the sounds similar to those of FSPassengers - a popular FSX addon.
I'm glad we were able to make it available for FG pilots as well so they can enjoy the sound effects and fly our new Econ flight challenge.
