It was great fun having additional pilots along for the adventure. Certainly a challenge to fly in 'formation' if we can even call it that. With 3 pilots and nobody using autopilot to maintain altitude and speed we spent a lot of the flight time to and from the target trying to get and stay together. Don't know about the smoke effect on landing, whether it's with the plane or the arrestor cable addon, or perhaps just default FSX carrier stuff. I'm pretty sure that the Qwest Kodiak plane has pretty impressive smoke on landings and that must be associated with the plane because I could see that when I had the Kodiak and others were flying that same model.

Yes, the bombing run should be even more fun - and I think it's tentatively set for this Thursday if that works Ok for the most pilots. Exact day and time hasn't been firmed up yet though. Look forward to seeing you and other pilots join in the fun.

Hah, yes Steve, I left that out of the 'official' adventure video, but was probably going to add it to a 'blooper addition' after the AP8-2 adventure is completed. Also - if you happen to have captured my cartwheel carrier landing practice and could send me a link to it, that would make a nice addition.
