Errors on fuel-burned with manual PIREP entry

I'm told there is an occasional error when entering the amount of fuel burned when using the manual PIREP entry page. Apparently, even though the amount is less than the 500000 limit, it sends an error that the entered amount is over this limit.

I've made an addition to the error message so that it will display what it believes the number is (unless it reconverts when it prints it back out).

If pilots encounter this error in the future, please note what fuel amount you entered and the exact entry you made in that field so that I might duplicate the error and try and prevent it in the future. Also include the new value it thinks is incorrect that is now included in the error message.

Finally, note that the fuel burned amounts are whole numbers without any commas, decimal points or other non-numeric characters entered.

FYI, l submit all my pireps manually, and truth to be told, never had a problem with my fuel consumption. There was a small problem when John was upgrading some files, but that was it. 4631 hours and climbing....good job all.

edited by: airhogg, Sep 06, 2015 - 12:59 AM
