A330-200 Gear

Just did my next assignment KMSP to KDEN in FSX.
The main wheels would not retract using either the keyboard or the joystick.
Any suggestions?
I also notice with this aircraft that just after starting there is a good deal of chatter by male voices on Com 1 but I have not been able to make out the words. What is this all about?
