Pilots,
In light of the recent developments regarding the possible discovery of Earhart's plane at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean, I'm revisiting the Earhart Tour.

In our Bush Ops Non-US Tours area you'll find the "Amelia Earhart Round the World Tour" flight.  I have added a new zipfile to update Howland Island for the fateful last leg that Earhart failed to complete.  The file contains two folders to add to your Community folder.  One contains some scenery including landing strips and the other I created to add an NDB to help guide you to the island if you can get within 75NM of the island.

I don't intend to fly the whole tour again, but it is great fun to select an aircraft with a suitable ADF radio so you can track the NDB. You might also want it to be in a faster aircraft because the leg from Nadzab to Howland is a whopping 2167 miles.  It's easy to drift off course and, if you miss the island by more than 75 miles in MSFS or 100 miles in FSX/P3D, you will miss the NDB signal, never find the island and end up swimming with Ameila.

So...if you're looking for a longer and challenging flight.  I suggest you find an aircraft with proper ADF radio (test it at a known airport NDB so you know it works), and enough fuel to get to the destination.  It's also a small island, so don't be looking to put a 747 down on it.

Good Luck and Happy Flying,

John
