This is according to my personal record and Acars pilot log:

These are all approximate figures: actual flying hours:156.6
Fuel used: 9275 gallons or 64,925 lbs
Miles flown: 33,056 miles

Totally enjoyed doing this flight. Trying to replicate Amelia Earhart as close as possible with the same aircraft with slight modification, using a GPS with the old navigation equipment
made it a challenging flight. After completing this tour, even though it`s virtual, l felt a sense of accomplishment when my wheels touch down on the runway at the final waypoint.

l give myself a pat on the back and to all others who fly this tour. Well Done...

Well said Larry. I agree - as I don't usually fly long tours, I also felt a real sense of accomplishment. Perhaps you can issue the awards for us. I was inspired to read more about her flight after my flight because I wondered things like, what weather they encountered (was it as bad in places like we found?), what times she planned to fly - taking off at night so that she might land in the day? It's too bad she couldn't have finished the flight, because it would have probably been a great book. I wonder if there were any communications from the various stops about the various flight legs just completed.

I have purchased a book on her flight, but it's a bit down on my reading list right now.

Sorry John, l knew l would forget something. the Awards have been awarded. Maybe after you finished reading the book, let us know what else she did during her flight.

Hah Larry, no problem...these virtual management positions don't really come with a lot of training - and any issues noted on your "performance evaluations" will only result in a significant reduction in the wages we offer. I've not experienced it, but rumor has it they cut your pay in half ....

For newer pilots, guests - or senior pilots who couldn't bother reading the small print of all our rules and regulations (Don't worry, I think it took me a year or so to read them and I still have to keep reviewing them) our management staff is all volunteer - so, of course, half of nothing is nothing. Anyway, if a pilot - including me , thinks something needs to be done about something - we're quick to bring it to the attention of management. By the way...this goes for all pilots and all issues. We hope to try and address any and all concerns of our pilots here at SPA, and if we can't fix things to your satisfaction, you'll have our sincere apologies - but we'll try our best, and let you know what we've done, couldn't do, or hope to do in the future to correct your problem.

Happy flying,
