Having even left Spain yet, the Africa tour appears to be a special challenge. One thing is that some of the small airports are not to be found in Skyvector, and not reliably in Flightgear Scenery. The first dirt strip in Africa is GMFA, Ouezanne. Wonder whether I find any airfield at all at that place and whether it is possible to land the speedy Piper Aerostar at that place. Internet fotographs make the place a very interesting spot to visit, so I'll try.

Hey Oswald,
I haven't flown that one, but there have been past Tours that have airports that no longer exist (or used to exist when earlier versions of Microsoft FS were being used). The result is that there are some instances where airport are not in the simulator being used by the pilot flying that tour. If that is the case, you can divert to the next closest airport to land...or just land where you want to I guess. Whatever keeps you on track to complete the tour.
Good luck,
John

As suspected GMFA airfield does not exist in FG, therefore I had to go to the nearest airport, GMSL. For the next step, would be GMFA to GMMC I shall have to start in GMSL, again. Do I use the same IATA no., just setting GMSL als departure airport instead of GMFA?
BTW GMMC is not found on Skyvector, either, according to wikipedia being fully closed since 2007. Alternatively, GMME.

Yes Oswald,
Please use the same IATA (flight number) for that leg of the flight, as it the listing of flight numbers that we go by to check completion of various tours or flight groups.
