MSFS - After latest update on 12-3-2020 A320neo Unflyable

Well,

Again nothing but frustration with the latest update. The A320 can't even climb to 6000 ft. The default model won't follow flight path. The whole plane is a mess. I agree with a post on the MSFS forum that each patch release further degrades this simulator.

Argh...Any flying for me until the next patch will have to be with P3D again, except for some bush hops with the smaller planes flown without autopilot.

I agree. I even lost my Mooney from Carenado, and they do not have aircraft for FS2020 now. They only support FSX and P3D.

I am sorry to hear that, so many expectations to the new simulator ...
Maybe the commercial developer team had too much pressure to get into the market and published MSFS prematurely?

Just as a notice, FlightGear developers are currently working on photoscenery, too, I wonder whether it will ever make it into a standard release. First experimental images in the forum are promising though not as stunning as the ones you posted in the beginning of MSFS. Are there any plans to photoscenery in P3D, as well?

Regards and a nice Sunday to all of you,
Oswald

My opinion is that Microsoft wanted to get their simulator out there before they released their new X-Box gaming console. Therefore, deadlines were set, and this is what we get.

Oswald,

Thanks for the update on FlightGear. I haven't been to their site for sometime now with so many other things on my plate. It's nice to hear development continues to keep them competitive with development of other simulators. No doubt the combined efforts of companies on the MSFS/FS2020 project have advantage over the opensource volunteer group with FG.

Yes, expectations for the MSFS were high based on the promotional videos, and disappointment followed when the real thing didn't measure up to the promo videos. Still, for me and many others the shortcomings could - and should be able to be corrected over time with the simulator getting progressively better. Unfortunately this also has not been the case, with subsequent patches often making the simulator worse rather than better. Even the opensource projects with many contributors don't tend to have so many steps backwards and so few steps forward with each subsequent release.
