Honeymoon Crash

Narrative: Pilot Makes Tragic Mistake On Honeymoon Flight!

On October 5th, 2020 - four days after getting married, the newlyweds climbed aboard the blue-and-white plane at Telluride Regional Airport to begin their trip home to the Spruce Creek Fly-In near Port Orange. It is believed they intended to fly past Bridal Veil Falls on their way home. Unfortunately they crashed about eight minutes after takeoff.

This is a scenic flight that allows pilots to understand the danger involved in flying into canyons. In our flight adventure, you take off from KTEX and fly photographers around the falls, then return to KTEX. Finally you can take off for another flyby of the falls before heading to Florida to 7FL6 to end your flight.
