Captains, This has been a banner weekend for us simmers. ORBX has finally released their v4 airports and Flight1 has finally released their v4 version of the GTN750. The GTN had a rough road to get it functioning, released on Friday but I just got it working this afternoon, thanks to a fix by the GPS Guru Bert Pieke!! So I had to try it all out this afternoon on a flight from Homer, Alaska over to Valdez. Both of these are ORBX special airports. No moving people at Homer, I think they may have all been at home drinking!! This is a video of the final approach into Valdez in an A2A Piper Commanche 250, we have Active Sky running with Cloud Art. I am using the Ultimate terrain mesh and the ORBX scenery. In short, it really doesn't get any better than this!! I am not tooting my own horn, I am tooting the collective horns of all the third party vendors who have worked so hard to bring this all together. I feel a little like Christmas, with lots of goodies under my tree. You should be warned before you watch this video: once you see it, you GOTSA HAVE IT!!! Enjoy the show!
A Happy Pilot,
Scott
